Obtaining Authorization from the Water Resource Authority of Kenya.


With the hydrogeological survey and the EIA reports, the WRA will give an authorization permit after payment of the required fees. This authorization serves as the permission to drill a borehole within the proposed site location.

Obtaining Work Permit from the County Authorities.


Various counties have various laws regarding drilling of boreholes. Charges for this authorization varies with each county and may either be payed by the drilling contractor or by the client, in full or in part depending on the prevailing county requirements. Once the payment is made and receipt obtained, the county in which the proposed borehole is to be drilled is deemed to have issued a drilling permission.
